can you say al-pac-a? the zoo keepers take the alpacas out for walks everyday and one just walked right in front of me. pretty cool.
the national zoo has a petting farm with fun animals. i nearly touched the cow, but she was just a bit too far away. i bet that cow knows just how far away she needs to be to be out of reach!
....and then we saw prarie dogs! we saw them pop up and down from their little holes.
the best of all was watching the baby gorilla climb around her mom. the baby gorilla was almost a year old, just like me!
