we've been so busy since we got back from the beach - it's already been a month!
here are the highlights of our little vacation.
look out beach - here i come. this is mr. t's first visit to the beach. it was love at first sight. you can see aunt donna saying hurry up - it's time to play!
this is my favorite view from the beach. it means i am sitting in a chair (out of the sand) and just watching everything going on around - that or reading a great book. but to get to this.....
....every morning the bucket brigade had to go into action. they are on trip #100 by now and getting a little tired. it didn't really take too long to fill the pool, but it was a lot of trips back and forth through the sand.
and then of course, mr. t was always very helpful in dumping large portions of the water back out onto the sand. occasional re-filling was required.
it was hilarious to watch dad and son play in the water. run to the waves....run away from the waves....run into the waves....run away from the waves....

we took a little day trip to see the light houses on the outer banks. here's the standard "you've got a lighthouse on your head" photo.
very tall cape hatteras light house. we planned on climbing to the top (up the stairs) but the rangers wouldn't let us. - mr. t was too short and too young....
....but we had a great time running around the grounds just the same.
